We are proud to announce that the Rimba Non-profit Organisation has just acquired its 1st hectare of forest!
This plot was the subject of selective logging in order to be transformed into a cocoa plantation. Being abandoned for about 15 years, this plot is in the process of natural regeneration with the presence of many pioneer and post-pioneer trees.
We even observed macaques and wild boar there, attracted by the presence of young Ficus whose fruits are known to be appreciated by wildlife !
The marking of this land will be carried out next week.

This acquisition is part of our global project “Conservation of the tropical forest: acquisition, protection, reforestation“.
This 1st acquisition was made possible thanks to UNIVET NATURE, which we thank for their trust and support.
THE GOAL AIMS TO INCREASE THE SURFACE OF THE FOREST COVER AND THE BIODIVERSITY BY THE CREATION OF NEW NATURAL PROTECTED AREAS
